Sorry Ben, I'll have to disagree on the return GMPV will get on Klingberg. He's been beyond terrible this season! Jim Nill was very smart not to pay him. The way I see it, the Ducks will be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for him and they'll have to eat half of his salary. This was a terrible gamble by GMPV. I'd rather see what Helleson could do up here rather than overpay Klingberg. I mean, how much worse could Helleson be?

I fully agree he's had a disastrous season so far. I was a fan of the signing though, because it seemed like it was always the plan to flip him at the deadline for assets.

I still think there's going to be enough interest in Klingberg to get back a respectable return. Likely a few teams that would be willing to gamble on an offensive RHD on an expiring contract who's been able to put up the points that Klingberg has in recent years.

I was just kicking this around yesterday during the Preds disaster... the only saving grace to maybe push his return into 2nd rounder is Vertank can argue his deployment and usage hasn't been optimal. But that is an indictment on Vertanks mangmnt for keeping the disaster known as the swarm around.

I still think the return is 3rd that maybe gets pushed to a 2nd with some kind of performance standard.

I was totally onboard with the signing but he hasn't fit at all... He needs a partner like .. well one we used to have .. .Hampus.

I don't know what the hell else GMPV needs to see. The team quit in the third and they were booed off the ice. Every Ducks fan I've talked to is OK with the losing as long as the effort is there, well the effort is waning quickly. The opportune time to fire Eakins was today as the team doesn't play again until Monday. So far, it hasn't happened.

after the 7-1 Isles ass kicking...

At ponda yesterday the mood quickly turned after ANOTHER disaster of a 2nd. The guys are just out there doing whatever they want... there is no structure or accountability.
